The kennel has 4 windows to let in plenty of natural light and is fully insulated and paneled on the inside with temperature controlled air conditioning and heat year round.
They always have clean food and water, toys, rawhide chews, and lots of love and attention!
Below are pictures of the inside of the kennel. I have doggie doors so that they are free to play outside anytime, or simply stay indoors where it is cooled by air conditioning in the summer and warmed by a heater in the winter. I have a radio for them and they listen to a local smooth jazz radio station.
All puppies and pregnant females are in my home where I can keep an even closer eye on them. Newborn puppies and expecting moms are in a baby playpen in my bedroom or oversized bathroom.
Puppy Room
Once the puppies are about 4-6 weeks old they can go to the Puppy Room. This is an exciting time for growing puppies because each litter moves into their own 4'X4'  puppy playpen that they share with their mom! This gives them 2 times the space which means more toys, more room to run around, and ahhh yes....POTTY TRAINING BEGINS!!!
Each 4'X4' puppy playpen is equiped with unprinted newspaper for potty training, food and water dish with fresh food and water always available and mixed fresh 2 times a day, a soft bed, 2 toys, and of course mom and the brother's and sisters!
One of the most important things I do is....CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN! Puppy pens are scrubbed down 2-3 times per day depending on age and size of litter, more if needed. Food & water dishes are washed and disinfected once a day.
The unprinted newspaper is also changed 2-3 times per day. Beds are washed daily or every other day, or as soon as they need it.
Every time I do the cleanings 2-4 times a day, each of the puppies are handled and played with and talked to. They are all well socialized and potty trined by the time they go home.
Please visit the "Your New Puppy" page for more information on what you can do to make your puppy the most comfortable when he or she goes home!
